CHILDREN'S LIBRARY

Picture
With space for up to 30 children and adults, the downstairs section of West Hampstead Library is a cosy, colourful and welcoming haven. For thousands of youngsters it has provided the stepping stone for a lifetime's love affair with books and reading.

Apart from offering a full range of books the Children's Library offers a regular schedule of free activities:

• Baby Bounce sessions for under twos are held every Thursday, from
11.30am-12noon (term time only) and
from 2.00 - 2.30pm.

• Rhyme Time sessions for under fives are held every Friday from 11.30am - 12noon

• After School Craft Sessions for threes and upwards are held every Tuesday from 3.30pm - 5.00pm

• There is even a toy library (for under fives only!)

Please note: space for children's activities is limited so please arrive early to be sure of a place!

LOVING THE LIBRARY

'Having the library so close to home is an important way for me to spend time with my family in a fun and educational atmosphere. My daughters get so excited and constantly ask to go to there. We love the activities, the staff are friendly and helpful, and we have made new friends from the neighbourhood. Having moved from Spain and the US, the West Hampstead Library has helped us to feel more connected to the community.'
